Naturreservatet Källenäs erbjuder besökaren en av länets få tallhedsnaturskogar. Här i den gamla urskogsliknande tallskogen kan du hitta tallar som har en ålder på mer än 200 år. Även djurlivet är rikligt i Källenäs och området är därför perfekt för den som vill njuta av den vackra skog och natur som Sverige erbjuder.
The nature Reserve Källenäs domain Sanctuary is an ancient primeval forest-like pine forest on sandy soil. The soil is poor in species. But on the ancient pines grows plenty of hanging lichens. South of source Nässjön is Källenäs, one of the counties that have pine forests. It was declared a protected nature reserve in 1937 as a domain and transformed into a nature reserve in 1996.
In the southeast part there also grows a lot of fir. The terrain in the area is flat and the soil is dry and sandy. Its the mos dry in the western part of the park and here grows almost exclusively lichens on the ground. Despite the meager amount, the forest is quite dense. Sand Coniferous forests are natural species-poor but in Källenäs there is plenty of hanging lichens such as garnlav and talltagel.
