Buon Gelato

If you’re looking for delicious gelato in central Jönköping, Buon Gelato is the place to go. This gelateria offers a fantastic selection of around 15 flavours, all made from locally sourced ingredients from Rudenstams and Strands Gård. You can also enjoy gelato cakes, Liège waffles, and coffee at Buon Gelato.

Located on the corner of Smedjegatan and Lantmätargränd, Buon Gelato opened in spring 2023 and is dedicated to authentic Italian ice cream. Behind the glass windows inside the shop, you can see the entire gelato-making process.

There are several indoor seating areas, where you can enjoy your gelato while watching people stroll by on the shopping street outside. If you prefer, you can also sit outdoors and soak up the sun while indulging in your treat.

Locally sourced ingredients

Gelato is traditionally made with less fat than regular ice cream, giving it a richer texture. At Buon Gelato, the ice cream is crafted using traditional Italian methods, carefully measuring sugar content and using only natural ingredients.

The dairy products come from local Strands Gård, while berries and fruits are handpicked from the same supplier and Rudenstams. Their hazelnuts and pistachios are sourced directly from Piemonte and Sicily, ensuring the finest quality.

A wide range of flavours

At Buon Gelato, you’ll find ice cream for every taste, with 15 flavours on the menu, ranging from sorbet to liquorice, macadamia, and pistachio gelato.

The menu also includes:

• Gelato cakes in different flavours
• Liège waffles, a sweet, dense Belgian waffle made from yeasted dough with pearl sugar, which caramelises during baking
• Coffee for those who prefer a warm beverage over ice cream

Want to enjoy your gelato at home? You can buy your favourite flavours in half-litre and one-litre containers to take away.
