Äppledalen, Småland's own Tuscany, offers magnificent views of Lake Landsjön and its larger neighbor Lake Vättern, lush plantations and a scenic atmosphere. Just north of Huskvarna, this rolling landscape spreads out, where lush apple groves and picturesque surroundings create a magical feeling. When the sun sets over Lake Landsjön and Lake Vättern, the sky is colored in warm tones, and the experience becomes almost unreal. With the scent of apples in the air and taste sensations that entice, Äppledalen is an idyllic excursion destination for all the senses.
Äppledalen is a joint initiative of several entrepreneurs operating in the scenic area just north of Huskvarna. Together they have created a destination where farming, local flavors and sustainable entrepreneurship meet under the common name Äppledalen.

It is possible to take a bike to Äppledalen and once you are here, a ride around Lake Landsjön is an alternative. It is a 12.5 kilometer bike ride that you can finish with a swim at Hunnerydsbadet. Or go to Vista Kulle Nature Reserve and climb the mountain to enjoy the view.
Running competitions, fitness races and a harvest festival are organized in Äppledalen every year. There is something for everyone here, the peace, the food, the flavors and the rolling landscape.
Along the eastern shores of lake Vättern, the small-scale meets the grand. In 2012, the UN agency UNESCO designated the Eastern Vättern Slope as a biosphere reserve. It is one of around 700 biosphere reserves in the world and one of seven in Sweden. Here, nature is both unique and dramatic, and humans take care of the biosphere so that all living things will be well in the future.
