Can you resist a swim when you're surrounded by water? Around Visingsö, there are several beautiful outdoor swimming spots to choose from. There is also a heated municipal outdoor pool. Regardless of what you choose, all are perfect for a dip.
Below are listed various outdoor swimming spots you can find on Visingsö, both small and large. Different village associations are responsible for maintaining the swimming spots. If you don't want to swim in Lake Vättern's crystal-clear water, there is also Kumlaby Pool's heated outdoor pool, managed by the municipality.
Depending on the wind direction, you can figure out which side of the island should have the warmest surface water today and choose how much sun you want based on the swimming spot's south, east, or west orientation.
The right of public access is one of the best things we have in Sweden. Remember to respect it and show consideration for both animals and nature when you visit the swimming spots.

Enjoy the outdoors - but know the rules!
At the southern tip of Visingsö lies Näs. Here you will find both a pier into the water and a small sandy beach. At the pier, there are benches, a barbecue area, and a gazebo perfect for a picnic.
There is also a self-service kiosk near the swimming spot with cold drinks and snacks, as well as bicycle tools.
There is also a toilet and a defibrillator. Näs Pier is maintained by Näs Village Association.
Sandudden is located at the northern tip of Visingsö, right next to the golf course and airfields. Here you can enjoy a long, lovely sandy beach facing south, which is very popular in the summer. There are benches to eat at and a dry toilet. You can get here by both car and bike.
Visingsö offers a charming selection of restaurants, cafés and ice cream spots – perfect for a flavourful break during your island adventure. From Thai dishes at Talay Thai External link. to homemade fika at Wisingsborgs Trädgårdscafé External link., there’s something to delight every taste.
On the western side of Visingsö, you will find Rökinge brygga, a jetty perfect for cooling off during a bike ride!
Here there is a nice jetty with a ladder into the water, benches, and a pleasant gazebo with a grill.
Near the swimming spot, there is a small stone beach and the possibility to launch a boat. There is also a toilet.
The easiest way to get to the Rökinge brygga is by bike; follow Rökingevägen all the way down to the water. Rökinge brygga is maintained by Rökinge Village Common.
Tunnerstad brygga is located on the western side of the island. Here there is a barbecue area and some seating. You can dip from the pier or walk from the shoreline. It is easy to get here by both bike and car.
Below Visingsborg is the old harbour. Here you can get a fantastic view of lake Vättern and Gränna.
Next to the small boat harbour, there is a small swimming spot into the water with a nice sandy bottom and a bench.
Parola Malm and it’s jetty is located on the eastern side of Visingsö, with a jetty and ladder into the water. It is a place with a long history; in 1783, the jetty became the landing site for the first regular boat connection between Visingsö and Mellby Strand – Grenna.
There are nice grassy areas for a picnic right by the water, benches, and a barbecue area.
Near the swimming spot, there is also a toilet. Kumlaby Village Association maintains the place.
Torp is a small and idyllic place on the western side of Visingsö. Here there is a jetty with a ladder into the water, a small sandy beach, and nice water. At the swimming spot, there are several benches and a barbecue area.
There is no toilet near the swimming spot. The easiest way to get to Torps swimming spot is by bike; if you come from the harbour, turn left after Kumlabykiosken and then follow the road all the way down to the water.
The swimming spot is maintained by Torps Village Association.
In the middle of Visingsö, you will find an outdoor pool with two heated pools. A perfect outing for the family!
There is a pool suitable for swimming and play, as well as a pool for smaller children. There are also large grassy areas to play on, a small kiosk, a sauna, and changing rooms. The pool is open during the summer.
