Go swimming in Gränna or Visingsö

You will find many swimming places to cool off both in and around Gränna. Dive into the crystal clear waters of Vättern or enjoy one of the magical lakes. Also, be sure to pack your swimwear if you are heading over to Visingsö!

Remember to take care of it and show consideration for both animals and nature.

1. The bath lagoon in Gränna

Next to Gränna harbor and camping you will find Gränna bath lagoon, an outdoor swimming pool in Vättern. Here you can enjoy a slightly warmer water temperature, beautiful views and a sandy beach. Restaurants, toilets and ice cream parlors are right next to the beach.

2. Vättern

Park your car at the harbor in Gränna and walk south along the beach walk. There are several smaller sandy beaches where you can stop for a swim on a hot summer day. Make sure to bring a picnic basket and something nice to sit on.

3. Bunnström

Bunnström's bathing area is located on the northeastern part of Lake Bunn. There you will find a smaller beach and a jetty, as well as a small parking. The ground is slightly hilly.

4. Örserumsbadet

Örserumsbadet is located in the northern part of Lake Ören, in Örserum. Here you will find a sandy beach, jetty, grassy areas and a lake with a sandy bottom. There are parking spaces and also reserved areas for wheelchairs.

5. Girabäcken

Girabäcken nature reserve is located north of Gränna, and is well suited for swimming and picnics. Here you can take a dip or two in beautiful Vättern, or sunbathe on the pebble beach for a while. Keep in mind that nature reserves have special rules, read more about them here.

Rökinge Brygga

On the west side of Visingsö you will find Rökinge Brygga, a nice beach with sandy beach and opportunities to barbecue.

Kumlabybadet

Kumlabybadet is a family-friendly outdoor swimming area on Visingsö with temperate pools, a sauna and changing rooms. The bath is open in the summertime.

Näs

On Visingsö's southern cape lies Näs. Here you can find a jetty and a sandy beach. There are also gazebos perfect for picnics, as well as benches and loungers.

Sandudden

Sandudden is located on Visingsö's northern cape, right next to the golf course. There is access to benches to eat at, as well as drydass. You can get here by car and bike.
