Swim in the scenic lake Tenhulta (Tenhultasjön) just south of Tenhult. The area features grassy lawns and a large jetty stretching into the lake. Enjoy the sandy beach and a lake bottom that’s partly sand and partly mud.

A full day at the beach

The sandy beach offers a cosy setting for play and activities, including a small playground with a slide. For extra fun, there’s also a beach volleyball court.

Tenhultsbadet is surrounded by a large grassy area ideal for picnics and play. If you prefer to cook, there’s a barbecue area available. Enjoy the beautiful and leafy views of Lake Tenhultasjön.

The site includes lifesaving equipment and dry toilets. You can change clothes in a simple booth. Facilities are available only during the swimming season.

Tenhultsbadet is located near Uvaberget, which rises about 260 meters above sea level. The cliff face down to the lake is around 45 meters high. Uvaberget features dramatic terrain with rockfalls and sheer cliffs. Two small streams run through the area, shaping the surrounding forest and flowing into the lake.

Good to know

Lake Tenhultasjön has thousands of years of organic material like leaves and branches on its bottom, now forming mud. This mud can shift and create holes or sinking spots. Please be cautious and supervise children closely while swimming.

How to get here

Take bus 130 from Jönköping Central Station to Tenhults Möbler, then walk about 700 meters to Tenhultsbadet.
