Fröjden is a charming outdoor dance pavilion in Jönköping’s Stadspark, where you can enjoy both traditional and contemporary dance. Open for most of the year, it offers a unique atmosphere for dance enthusiasts of all ages.

From spring through summer and well into autumn, you can take a spin on the dance floor at Fröjden, located near Stadsparksvallen football stadium in Jönköping’s Stadspark.

Dance and fresh air at Fröjden

Dance events take place throughout the week, hosted by various dance associations:

  • Tuesdays – Organised by Jönköpings Gammaldansförening, featuring recorded music and dance courses.
  • Wednesdays – Hosted by Jönköpings Sportdansklubb.
  • Thursdays – Sommardans is arranged by Korpen.
  • Sundays – Traditional gammaldans (old-time dance) organised by Jönköpings Gammaldansförening.

Refreshments and fika at Fröjden

The dance pavilion’s refreshment tent offers a selection of famous Fröjdendansen treats, including delicious sandwiches, soft drinks, and homemade cakes.

During the day and on select evenings, you’ll also find a kiosk nearby, as well as Värdshuset Stugan, which serves meals, coffee, and ice cream.

A gathering place for school celebrations

Dalviksskolan in Jönköping traditionally holds its summer graduation ceremonies at Fröjden.
