Located in the western part of Jönköping, in the same building as Idrottshuset near Västra Torget, Bowling City has been a go-to destination since its opening in 1975. The venue welcomes everyone, from casual players to competitive bowlers.

A sport for all ages

Bowling is a fun and low-impact sport that involves rolling a heavy rubber or plastic ball down a lane to knock over ten wooden pins arranged in a triangle formation. To ensure accessibility for young children and individuals with disabilities, various assistive tools are available.

Lanes, bowling balls, and shoes

To play, you’ll need to wear special bowling shoes with soft soles to protect the delicate flooring. A standard bowling ball measures 21.6 cm in diameter and weighs no more than 7.26 kg.

Lanes are rented by the hour, with a maximum of five players per lane. The lanes feature automatic bumpers, an advanced scoring system (BES-X), and integrated cameras and sensors, enhancing the overall bowling experience.

HyperBowling: a game-changer

Disco bowling, Red Pin, HyperBowling, Mad Games, and competitive sports bowling—there are many ways to enjoy the game. Don’t miss HyperBowling, the newest and most exciting format! Imagine a video game brought to life on a bowling lane, featuring levels, increasing difficulty, risk/reward mechanics, high scores, and achievements. This system utilizes LED-lit bumpers that act as moving and fixed targets, adding a new layer of challenge and fun.

Birthday Parties, Youth Packages & After Work Events

Bowling City offers the perfect birthday party package, complete with classic bowling, themed games, food, ice cream, candy, and surprises. For youth groups up to 16 years old, there’s a bowling-and-taco buffet package. The Strike ’n Dine package combines bowling with a delicious dinner, and the After Work special adds an energetic Friday night vibe with bowling, food, and drinks.

After an intense round of bowling, cool off with a refreshing drink from the bar. If you're hungry, the restaurant serves a variety of meals, including burgers, fish & chips, and pies.
