Located right next to the Visingsö ferry, Kajkanten offers outdoor dining with Visingsö Harbour and Lake Vättern as its closest neighbours. Kajkanten is the collective name for Fiskboden (the Fish Shop), Glasskiosken (the Ice Cream Stand), and Restaurang Båthuset (the Boathouse Restaurant) near the ferry dock on Visingsö.

Order your meal from one of the service windows and choose from options like hot-smoked fish from their own smokehouse, various lunch dishes, homemade waffles, soft-serve ice cream, scooped ice cream, and à la carte. Kajkanten also has beer and wine licenses.

Glasskiosken offers a variety of scooped ice creams, soft-serve ice creams, coffee, and hot dogs.

Fiskboden offers local products

Fiskboden sells hot-smoked fish from its own smokehouse on Visingsö, specifically from Bengtsgården. They also offer picnic-friendly flatbread wraps available for pre-order, perfect for exploring Visingsö on foot or by bike.

You can also purchase more products from Bengtsgården, such as KRAV-certified rapeseed oil and various types of flour.

Shrimp feast on Wednesdays

The popular shrimp feast, called räkfrossa in Swedish, is offered during the summer on Wednesdays and requires a reservation.

Visingsö

Take the ferry from Gränna to Visingsö, a gem in Lake Vättern with stunning nature and a rich history tied to the powerful Brahe family.
