Västanå Castle was built in 1590 and has been managed as Sweden's first palace hotel since 1948 This is the only Castle founded by count Brahe which is not in ruins today.
Västanå castle serves today both as hotel and restaurant. Gränna Golf Club´s well-managed 18-hole course with clubhouse and restaurant is situated right next to the castle. A golf course and a castle in the beautiful scenery - well worth a visit. Västanå is located about five miles south of Gränna.
