Experience Sunda Byggvaror, a small building supplies store located in a dreamy agricultural landscape along the beautiful old Riksettan road between Huskvarna and Gränna.
If you are particularly looking for high-quality, healthy, and long-term sustainable building and painting products, you have come to the right place at Sunda Byggvaror.
You will find Sunda Byggvaror in one of Lyckås gård's large barn buildings, which has been converted to house spaces for smaller shops. There is a spacious parking area on the gravel yard outside, and the barn houses several different shops.
In Sunda Byggvaror's self-made shop fittings of linseed oil-waxed pine, you will find, among other things, linseed oil paint, mouldings, joinery timber, hand tools, and ironware. The shop is easily accessible on the ground floor of the barn.
A stop here offers many beautiful views. The barn where the shop is located is part of Lyckås gård, situated at the bottom of the fertile and beautiful Skärstaddalen. The manor's stately main building from 1863 can be seen on the other side of the road from the parking area.
The surrounding hills offer a beautiful agricultural landscape that frames the valley's edges, and from the parking area, you can also see the sparkling water of Lake Landsjön.
On the upper floor above the shop, you will find a very unusual lumber yard. The barn was built in 1947, and its height of 13 meters creates a perfect storage space for exterior cladding and construction timber in a location where the seasons themselves regulate the wood's moisture content, making it dimensionally stable after delivery to the construction site.
The exterior cladding in spruce and pine is handpicked from small and large sawmills in northern Sweden to maintain quality and shape. Exterior cladding can also be ordered with timber certificates to promote more sustainable forestry.
North of Huskvarna, you’ll find Småland’s very own Tuscany – Äppledalen, the Apple Valley. Here, over 100,000 apple trees grow at Rudenstams and Vistakulle Fruit Orchards. This idyllic getaway is part of the East Vätterbranterna Biosphere Reserve and offers breathtaking views over Lake Landsjön and Lake Vättern, scenic orchards, nature reserves, local leather craftsmanship, interior design shops, charming countryside cafés, and farm stores. It’s the perfect complement to the buzz of the city.
