At Sjöåkra skogslek, there’s a discovery table where children can touch and feel the antlers of four different Swedish animals: moose, red deer, fallow deer, and roe deer. A small gravel path leads to a creative zone where kids can play, explore, and craft with natural materials. Whether it’s building a bark boat or making a masterpiece from leaves, the possibilities are endless!

As you follow the trails through the forest, keep an eye out for wooden carvings of wolves, bears, and lynxes. Down by the pond, there’s even a chance to spot an otter.

Sjöåkra Forest Play integrates learning into its natural setting. At the bird tree, you can learn about four different bird species and listen to their distinct songs. Informational signs and QR codes are placed throughout the park, offering insights into various Swedish animals and allowing you to hear their calls.

In addition to all the fun activities, Sjöåkra Forest Play is a great spot for a picnic, lunch, or dinner. The park features grills, benches, tables, and a weather shelter.

Located just outside Bankeryd, the playground is nestled in the forest, making it easy to combine a visit with a hike or other outdoor adventure.
