Mamma Carinas Pensionat B&B is the only established accommodation in Bankeryd. This small and welcoming guest house, nestled in nature near Lake Vättern, is run by a passionate mother of seven and a midwife.

Mamma Carinas is located at Horstorp Farm in Småland, right on the border with Västergötland. The Domneån river runs through the area. This is the place for nature lovers seeking relaxation, yet still within easy reach of the city life in Jönköping.

Cosy rooms with beautiful views

The guest house offers ten homely rooms designed to evoke the charm of a turn-of-the-century countryside atmosphere. Guests sleep comfortably in cosy beds and can choose rooms with private bathrooms or economy rooms with shared facilities in the hallway. All rooms overlook the peaceful garden.

Delicious, locally produced and organic

A tasty and nutritious breakfast with home-baked bread is served for self-service. As much as possible, ingredients are locally sourced and organic. Gluten-free options are available. Other meals can be arranged only for events or pre-booked groups.

Events for groups

Mamma Carinas Pensionat B&B is the perfect place for small gatherings and celebrations. During the summer, events can be held outdoors on the large veranda, the dance floor or in the garden. Groups can book the entire venue and choose to self-cater, order catering or have food served.

Swim, hike and cycle

Just three kilometres from Mamma Carinas lies Domsandsbadet, a sandy beach with piers extending into the clear waters of Lake Vättern and a small marina. Nearby are also several lovely hiking trails and Attarpsbadet, an outdoor pool with heated basins. If you enjoy cycling, there is a scenic cycle path along Lake Vättern between Bankeryd and Jönköping.
