Save
Do you remember the Smurfs, Star Wars, and the Turtles? Then you’ve come to the right place. At the Toy Hunters’ Nostalgia Museum, you’ll find these and many, many more action figures from the 70s, 80s, and 90s.
If you’d rather experience video games or pinball machines, there are plenty to try out. Here, you’ll relive childhood memories—ones you won’t forget. No visitor has ever regretted stopping by! While the museum is especially popular among older visitors, younger guests will also have fun exploring and discovering new games to play.
Karl-Henrik Jakobsson, the collector behind the museum, has been passionate about toys since childhood. As a young boy, he travelled with his parents searching for antiques, and his fascination was sparked. Once he got his driving licence, he fully embraced his passion—collecting.
In 2018, Karl-Henrik appeared on the Swedish TV series Bäst i Sverige (Best in Sweden), Season 3, Episode 1, where Adam Alsing crowned him Sweden’s top collector—and Karl-Henrik won!
The museum is located in a barn on Karl-Henrik’s property and is only open to pre-booked visitors. You can find more information on prices and booking on the museum’s Facebook page. Admission includes refreshments.
In addition to the impressive toy exhibition, there is a dedicated room featuring arcade games, retro gaming consoles, and a large collection of games to try—perfect for visitors of all ages.
The barn also houses a flea market where you can find many of the toys featured in the museum. The flea market is open exclusively to groups visiting the museum.
Månsarp, Taberg, Norrahammar, and Hovslätt together form the Tabergsådalen, the valley through which the Taberg River flows. Here, you'll breathe in Swedish industrial history and encounter breathtaking nature, entrepreneurship, and creativity. At the top of Taberg, 343 meters above sea level, you can enjoy an incredible view while savouring the famous shrimp sandwich. Discover scenic hiking trails, Norrahammar Museum, the Tabergsgruvan and Bruket in Norrahammar
By car
Take the E4 to Torsvik and drive towards Taberg. In Taberg, turn left at ICA towards Porteshult. Drive approximately 3 kilometres, and you’ll find the barn on the right-hand side.
