Hilly terrain

Experience the hilly terrain in the deciduous forest of Kaxholmen. Here you will find both mountain bike trails, walking paths, and a barbecue area. About 16 kilometers northeast of Jönköping, you will find Kaxholmen's deciduous forest in the small community of Kaxholmen.

You can easily park at Vistavallen and cross the road to find the path up to the deciduous forest. Here, there is a fitness trail of about 3.9 kilometers. The area also has mountain bike trails.

The deciduous forest consists of noble deciduous trees, including hazel groves and large oaks. The area was formerly pastureland but is now a lovely deciduous forest to walk on the illuminated trail, play, and barbecue in. The area is part of Biosfärområde Östra Vätterbranterna.

The deciduous forest is located in the middle of what is called Äppledalen (Apple Valley), where you can visit Rudenstams Farm Shop, Kallfeldts Leather, or Vistakulle's apple orchard.
