A park over 100 years old

Experience Huskvarna stadspark - a park over 100 years old. The park is located on the slopes of Huskvarnaberget and features beautiful vegetation, charming walking paths, a playground, and a city park cottage from 1914 with an associated café.

The same year Huskvarna received city rights, 1911, a motion was made for a city park for the new city. In the motivation, it was written that "The city park on the western slope towards the city is suitable for winter sports and athletic life, as well as the park is suitable for performing games, singing sessions, musical entertainment, and other amusements during the sunny days of summer." A vision that has largely become a reality today.

Café operations through the ages

The park's focal point is the city park cottage from 1914, adorned with animal heads on the protruding floorboards. The cottage was built entirely voluntarily, and between 1920 and 1955, a café operation was run here, offering musical entertainment several days a week. Even today, there is a café operation that offers a classic range of coffee and light meals for both adults and children.

From play to hiking with extensive views

The playground was built in connection with the 100th anniversary and offers climbing frames, slides, swings, and other fun activities. In winter, there are good sledding hills, and above the playground, right at the foot of the mountain, there are barbecue areas for your picnic.

If you have strong legs, you can take a walk from the park straight up the mountain to the viewpoint, where you have a view over the entire Huskvarna, southern lake Vättern, and parts of Jönköping.

You can also take the paths up to IKHP's exercise facility, which offers illuminated trails, a pump track, and cycling trails.

Huskvarna

Gazing out over Lake Vättern, the giant Vist stands tall in Huskvarna. Here, striking contrasts meet — between stunning natural surroundings and the historic Husqvarna Factory, established in 1689 to produce weapons for the Swedish military. At the Husqvarna Museum, you can explore everything from sewing machines and motorcycles to modern-day chainsaws and lawnmowers. Nearby, Smedbyn offers a charming mix of history, art galleries, and craft studios. Since 1925, Huskvarna Folkets Park has been a beloved venue for music, theatre, festivals, and fairs.
