The trails start from the Bauergården hotel and offer a fantastic opportunity to explore the area's nature and culture.

Choose between "Fabrikören" and "Esters stråk," two circular trails that together or separately offer a memorable walk. The trails take you through hilly terrain and lush forest paths, where moss-covered trees and tranquil glades create an atmosphere reminiscent of John Bauer's magical fairy tale world. For those seeking more adventure, there is also the option to connect to the longer John Bauer Trail, which stretches all the way to Gränna.

Two different but equally beautiful circular trails

The "Fabrikören" trail, at 5 km, lets you experience the mystical landscape that inspired John Bauer's art. The walk ends just after the Factory in Bunn and offers an enchanting combination of deep forests and beautiful views.

Esters stråk, which is 2.3 km long, is a shorter but equally memorable walking trail said to reflect the relationship between John and his wife Ester – full of contrasts. Here you will encounter both uphill and downhill sections, interspersed with peaceful parts where you can feel the calm and the loving embrace of nature.

Combine your walk with a bite to eat

Above Bauergården, by the small outdoor gym, you will find a cozy barbecue area where you can stop for a break and cook a delicious lunch. A perfect place to gather new energy before continuing your walk or simply enjoying the soothing view.
