Experience family-friendly Åsabadet by Sörsjön in Norrahammar. This outdoor swimming area offers vast grassy spaces, a large bathing jetty with a diving tower that separates shallow and deep water, and a sandy beach.

Åsabadet is a popular swimming spot between Taberg and Norrahammar. The large bathing jetty divides the deep section from the shallow area. There is also a diving tower with three platforms, the highest being just over three metres.

Many visitors choose Åsabadet for a refreshing swim. Although it is frequently visited, it rarely feels crowded, as there is plenty of space. Next to the swimming area is Sörgården, which belongs to Jönköping Orienteering Club and also operates the beach kiosk.

Although Åsabadet does not have a playground, there are plenty of activities to enjoy. The large grassy areas invite play and running. If you are looking for something other than swimming, there is a mini-golf course and a frisbee golf course. There is also a beach volleyball and ball field available at the swimming area. Facilities such as toilets and a kiosk are located nearby.

Explore Åsasjöarna by canoe

Åsasjöarna are beautiful inland lakes surrounded by forests, sandy beaches, and grassy shores. From Sörsjön, where Åsabadet is located, you can paddle further to the three interconnected lakes: Gårdssjön, Martinsgölen, and Mellansjön.

Exercise trails and hiking

Next to the swimming area, there is a 2.8-kilometre illuminated trail, as well as longer loops of 6.1 and 9.9 kilometres. The longer trails take you past sandy beaches, forests, marshlands, and pastures.

More outdoor activities around Åsabadet

Åsabadet is part of the Åsasjöarna outdoor recreation area and serves as an excellent starting point for various outdoor activities.

Here, you can run along the exercise trails or go hiking. The Södra Vätterleden hiking trail passes by Åsabadet. During winter, conditions permitting, the area offers skiing and ice skating on natural ice.

The blueberry-rich spruce forests grow on sandy soil, providing an excellent spot for berry picking, following Sweden's Right of Public Access.

Sport fishing is also possible in the various Åsasjöarna lakes.

Snacks and ice cream can be purchased from the beach kiosk. You are welcome to enjoy your own picnic or use the designated barbecue area at the swimming spot.
