Visit AnnaGretas Mat och Bar at Västra Torget in Jönköping! In a cozy and homely atmosphere, Swedish home cooking is served for lunch and Spanish tapas for dinner. After a stroll through the Saturday market, enjoy a Saturday lunch with a Belgian waffle for dessert.
For over 20 years, AnnaGretas had the same owner, but in 2022, new owners took over and brought their own touch to the venue. They kept the successful concept of serving home-cooked meals for lunch and tapas in the evening.
The restaurant is small, and the tables are relatively close together. During spring and summer, there’s plenty of space to dine outdoors in the charming courtyard and on the veranda by the main entrance. For lunch, Swedish home cooking is served, offering meat, fish, or vegetarian options.
In the evening, the lights dim, and AnnaGretas transforms into a tapas bar. On the tables, you’ll find order slips where you can indicate which tapas you’d like. When the small dishes arrive, delightful aromas fill the room. Your taste buds will rejoice, and you might discover new favorites among wines, olives, mussels, burritos, and cheeses.
Every Saturday, a large market is held at Västra Torget. When it closes at around 1 PM, it’s the perfect time for lunch at neighboring AnnaGretas, where a special Saturday menu is served, complete with delicious Belgian waffles for dessert.
