Tent exhibition

Uthuset is located in a converted barn with a view over Skärstaddalen. In the barn, you'll find what is probably Sweden's largest exhibition of tents and tipi tents. Here, you can find different models and brands where you can calmly test out the option that suits you and your needs best.

Sleeping studio

Uthuset also boasts a sleeping studio where visitors can delve into the question of how to sleep best outdoors. Here, you have the opportunity to test, squeeze, and feel sleeping pads, sleeping bags, and hammocks.

Everything for hiking

The range for hiking includes everything you might need on a trip. Backpacks, clothes, boots, and cooking equipment. The knowledgeable and enthusiastic staff are happy to help.

Activities and events

Uthuset also hosts activities and events such as "Köldknäppen" and "Fair enough," outdoor fairs with lectures, brand specialists, fair prices, and food and drink.

Gränna

A couple of days in Gränna holds everything you could wish for during your holiday. Stunningly clear water, breathtaking views, gentle walks in magical forests, history, cycling along beautiful country roads or challenging MTB tracks, relaxing to magical sunsets, strolls down cobblestone alleys, deliciously good ice cream and of course – the pepparmint rock candy.

Äppledalen

North of Huskvarna, you’ll find Småland’s very own Tuscany – Äppledalen, the Apple Valley. Here, over 100,000 apple trees grow at Rudenstams and Vistakulle Fruit Orchards. This idyllic getaway is part of the East Vätterbranterna Biosphere Reserve and offers breathtaking views over Lake Landsjön and Lake Vättern, scenic orchards, nature reserves, local leather craftsmanship, interior design shops, charming countryside cafés, and farm stores. It’s the perfect complement to the buzz of the city.

How to get here

Just a short detour from the E4, a 20-minute drive from central Jönköping. Uthuset is located just over 10 km north of Huskvarna in Skärstad.

Take bus line 121 between Jönköping and Gränna to the Skärstad Svängen stop, then it's about an 800-meter walk.

The area offers great opportunities for road cycling towards both Jönköping/Huskvarna and Gränna. From Jönköping's Travel Centre, you can follow the cycle path all the way to Skärstad, then just follow the hill up towards Skärstad Church.
