A nature-inspired playground in the heart of Huskvarna
Save
In the center of Huskvarna, right by the Huskvarna River, lies Smedbyns lekpark. This family-friendly destination offers everything you could want in a playground: climbing frames, slides, trampolines, swings, a sandbox, and more. There’s even a beach volleyball court and multiple grilling stations with seating, most of which are under shelter.
Just a short walk from popular Huskvarna attractions like Husqvarna Museum and Smedbyn, the playground provides adventures for kids of all ages. It features various activities, including climbing structures with multiple slides, swings, a trampoline, and a sandbox. The nearby beach volleyball court is perfect for older kids or adults.
Smedbyn Playground is ideal for a picnic or grilling session. The park features several grilling areas and picnic tables, some of which are covered.
After some time at the playground, you can visit nearby Smedbyn, known for its rich history and charming artisan shops. The area also hosts Shampalace, a Middle Eastern restaurant, and Söderkiosken, which offers candy, ice cream, and snacks.
Gazing out over Lake Vättern, the giant Vist stands tall in Huskvarna. Here, striking contrasts meet — between stunning natural surroundings and the historic Husqvarna Factory, established in 1689 to produce weapons for the Swedish military. At the Husqvarna Museum, you can explore everything from sewing machines and motorcycles to modern-day chainsaws and lawnmowers. Nearby, Smedbyn offers a charming mix of history, art galleries, and craft studios. Since 1925, Huskvarna Folkets Park has been a beloved venue for music, theatre, festivals, and fairs.
