Kaffestugan on Grännaberget, serving coffee since 1924, is a fantastic destination offering delicious fika, a beautiful setting, and stunning views of Gränna, Visingsö, and lake Vättern.
Located on Grännaberget, Kaffestugan provides a spectacular view of Gränna, Visingsö, and lake Vättern. Beyond the island lies Västergötland, and to the north, you can spot Omberg and Östergötland. To the south, Röttle and Västanå Nature Reserve come into view. Behind you, the deep Holaved Forest begins.
Enjoy the scenery and nice weather at the many benches or tables with parasols outside the café. On rainy days or for those seeking shade, there are plenty of indoor seating options in the cozy cabin.
From Gränna, you can walk up to Kaffestugan on top of the hill. The stair contains 243 steps.
Beautiful views spark an appetite, and Kaffestugan on Grännaberget offers a wide range of delicious fika options. All sandwiches are made à la minute using freshly baked bread.
Their shrimp sandwiches are said to be famous far beyond Småland. In addition to the renowned shrimp sandwiches, you can enjoy other sandwiches and baked goods.
A couple of days in Gränna holds everything you could wish for during your holiday. Stunningly clear water, breathtaking views, gentle walks in magical forests, history, cycling along beautiful country roads or challenging MTB tracks, relaxing to magical sunsets, strolls down cobblestone alleys, deliciously good ice cream and of course – the pepparmint rock candy.
On foot
For those who enjoy physical activity, there are stairs with 243 steps leading from Gränna to the top of the hill and Kaffestugan. The stairs start at Södra Parken in Gränna.
