Since 2007, Gränna Choklad has been crafting handmade chocolate masterpieces in its small factory. Today, they not only run a charming summer shop and café in the heart of Gränna, but also a larger store at Asecs in Jönköping, where their full range is offered alongside local products from the surrounding area.
It all started with a passion for flavor—a passion that still forms the core of everything they do. At Gränna Choklad, there's no compromise: only fine ingredients like butter, honey, fruit purées, genuine spirits, and liqueurs are used. No additives, no palm oil—just real flavor. You can taste it in every praline, every piece of brittle, and every chocolate-coated almond.
During the summer season, Gränna Choklad’s shop and café invite visitors to indulge in the picturesque small-town charm of Gränna. Here, you can purchase their handmade pralines, chocolate brittle, candied nuts, and their newer addition—classic candy canes. You'll also find selected products from other local producers.
If you want to enjoy their amazing flavors in the winter or can’t make it all the way to Gränna, you can instead visit their large store at Asecs in Jönköping, which is open daily, all year round.
At Gränna Choklad, you can try making your own pralines—a perfect activity for groups looking for a memorable experience. You'll cook truffles, pipe fillings, and dip pralines, following the journey from bean to finished masterpiece. The session ends with a chocolate tasting.
They also offer chocolate tastings for those who simply want to sit back and enjoy. You’ll get to sample a selection of Gränna Choklad's pralines, brittles, and coated treats, paired with beverages and guided storytelling about chocolate's history and production.
Gränna choklad & polkagriskokeri is part of Food Around Gränna, an initiative created by local producers and entrepreneurs who want to support a vibrant countryside and locally produced ingredients. The shops, farm cafés, and restaurants are open year-round and are happy to show you how they make their delicacies. During the Ascension Day weekend each year, all businesses invite you to the food tour, where the participants have the same opening hours and offer tastings and fun activities for both young and old. See all the participants who are part of Mat runt Gränna (food around Gränna).
A couple of days in Gränna holds everything you could wish for during your holiday. Stunningly clear water, breathtaking views, gentle walks in magical forests, history, cycling along beautiful country roads or challenging MTB tracks, relaxing to magical sunsets, strolls down cobblestone alleys, deliciously good ice cream and of course – the pepparmint rock candy.
