Scandinavian design and delightful flavors in Äppledalen
Save
Nestled in the idyllic Äppledalen, just a stone’s throw from Landsjön, you’ll find Grafitgrå – a seamless blend of an interior design store, café, and fashion boutique under one roof.
Grafitgrå started as a small venture, born from an inspirational blog that reignited the creative spirit behind its designs. In 2012, the first store opened in an old smithy, and since then, the brand has grown, offering a wider selection in a larger space.
The products are mostly self-designed and crafted in Sweden and Nepal, inspired by the natural grayscale. Their signature concrete furniture is locally produced in Småland, with concrete cast in Kaxholmen and metalwork completed nearby.
Within the same space as the design and fashion boutique, the café offers a wide range of treats. The interior reflects the same Scandinavian minimalist style as the products – a serene environment in natural tones perfect for enjoying a meal.
The café features spacious outdoor seating on both sides of the building, making it easy to find a sunny or shaded spot on warm days.
The menu offers something for everyone, from hearty meals to homemade baked goods, using seasonal and local ingredients. Gluten-free, lactose-free, and vegan options are always available. Families will appreciate the kid-friendly menu, a play corner indoors, a sandbox outdoors, high chairs, and a changing table.
Don’t miss their popular flatbreads – oven-baked bread topped with delicious seasonal ingredients.
If you’d prefer to take your coffee or meal to go, there’s a nearby swimming area with a playground, outdoor gym, and green spaces just a short walk away.
Grafitgrå hosts various events, including regular parent breakfasts, evening gatherings, and private bookings.
North of Huskvarna, you’ll find Småland’s very own Tuscany – Äppledalen, the Apple Valley. Here, over 100,000 apple trees grow at Rudenstams and Vistakulle Fruit Orchards. This idyllic getaway is part of the East Vätterbranterna Biosphere Reserve and offers breathtaking views over Lake Landsjön and Lake Vättern, scenic orchards, nature reserves, local leather craftsmanship, interior design shops, charming countryside cafés, and farm stores. It’s the perfect complement to the buzz of the city.
Grafitgrå is part of Food Around Gränna, an initiative created by local producers and entrepreneurs who want to support a vibrant countryside and locally produced ingredients. The shops, farm cafés, and restaurants are open year-round and are happy to show you how they make their delicacies.
During the Ascension Day weekend each year, all businesses invite you to the food tour, where the participants have the same opening hours and offer tastings and fun activities for both young and old. See all the participants who are part of Mat runt Gränna
