Farm animals in miniature on Visingsö
Save
During the summer months, Bengtsgårdens minidjur welcomes visitors to meet their charming miniature farm animals. From miniature horses and cows to goats, sheep, and rabbits, it’s the perfect stop for families with kids!
Bengtsgården is located in Stigby on southern Visingsö, offering stunning views of Lake Vättern and Gränna. The farm is now run by fifth-generation farmer Jonas Björklund, together with his partner Helena Marklund. The couple has established Bengtsgården Miniature Animals, a visitor-friendly farm where you can meet adorable miniatures of traditional farm animals.
Among the animals, you’ll find American miniature horses, African pygmy goats, Roslag sheep, Dexter cows, and rabbits.
At Bengtsgården, you can enjoy a snack with offerings such as ice cream, coffee, and drinks from their kiosk.
Admission to Bengtsgårdens minidjur is 70 SEK per person, and children under 3 years old enter for free when accompanied by an adult.
The farm is open during the summer and offers regular guided tours. Visit their website for specific opening periods and times.
Take the ferry from Gränna to Visingsö, a gem in Lake Vättern with stunning nature and a rich history tied to the powerful Brahe family. Don’t miss Brahe Church, home to a wealth of artistic treasures. The island is easy to explore by bike or by horse-drawn carriage – remmalag. Here, you're close to nature and can meet alpacas, go horseback riding, or paddle a kayak.
