Äppledalen - the Tuscany of Småland!

Äppledalen is home to several quaint farm shops and cafés that are nestled within the rural setting. Take the opportunity to visit Rudenstams fruit farm – a day-trip destination suitable for the whole family. Enjoy a good meal, a drink, or a cup of coffee with an apple-themed cake or pastry, and then browse through a plethora of locally produced ingredients, confectionery and crafts in the farm shop.

A stone's throw from Landsjön, you will find Grafitgrå, an interior design utopia. As well as shopping for interior design products and fashionable clothes, you can also visit the café. Buy a tasty treat to either enjoy on site or to take across the road to Hunneryd’s bathing area where you can enjoy the view over Landsjön lake. You can finish off your visit with a dip in the lake.

Continue to Vistakulle Fruit Farm where you can find 12 hectares of apple, pear and plum trees. Here, in addition to enjoying the charm of the thirty thousand trees on view, you can also buy juice, cider, jams and jellies, fruit and also coffee from Gårdsrosteriet coffee roastery to take home and enjoy.

There is also Strand Gård’s farm shop where you can buy fresh milk in bottles. At Kallfeldt's leather factory you can browse and buy high quality products made right in the middle of Äppledalen.

Activities all year round

For those looking for a more active holiday, you can get around the area both by bike and on foot.

Special events are organised several times throughout the year in this area. You can enjoy apple pie during the harvest festival, get into the festive mood at the christmas market or celebrate the end of winter at the ‘Spring in Äppledalen’ event or Äppledalen’s Walpurgis celebrations.
