Beautifully situated among the apple trees lies Gårdsrosteriet.
Beautifully situated among the apple trees, Gårdsrosteriet offers a scenic spot to visit. With a view over Lake Vättern and close proximity to Landsjön, it’s a true gem. Take a bike ride around Landsjön and stop by to enjoy freshly roasted coffee and homemade treats — the roastery is located next to the Vistakulle farm shop (see website for opening hours).
At the roastery, coffee beans are roasted in small batches with great care. The roasting machine is fed with different types of beans depending on the coffee variety – Mexico, Vista Blend, Guatemala, and Papua New Guinea (the latter used for the seasonal Christmas coffee). The beans are then ground into coffee powder and packed into bags with the right amount for perfect brewing.
Gårdsrosteriet is located in the heart of the Apple Valley, where you can enjoy beautiful orchards, charming farm shops, and cosy cafés. Take a cycling tour around Landsjön and finish off with a swim at Hunnerydsbadet.
North of Huskvarna, you’ll find Småland’s very own Tuscany – Äppledalen, the Apple Valley. Here, over 100,000 apple trees grow at Rudenstams and Vistakulle Fruit Orchards. This idyllic getaway is part of the East Vätterbranterna Biosphere Reserve and offers breathtaking views over Lake Landsjön and Lake Vättern, scenic orchards, nature reserves, local leather craftsmanship, interior design shops, charming countryside cafés, and farm stores. It’s the perfect complement to the buzz of the city.
Gårdsrosteriet is part of Food Around Gränna, an initiative created by local producers and entrepreneurs who want to support a vibrant countryside and locally produced ingredients. The shops, farm cafés, and restaurants are open year-round and are happy to show you how they make their delicacies.
During the Ascension Day weekend each year, all businesses invite you to the food tour, where the participants have the same opening hours and offer tastings and fun activities for both young and old. See all the participants who are part of Mat runt Gränna
From Jönköping or Huskvarna, you can follow bike paths all the way to Kaxholmen. The final stretch takes you along Vistakullevägen, leading straight to Gårdsrosteriet
Along the former national road between Gränna and Jönköping, turn off toward Vista Kulle and follow the road at Bosgård. Turn again and continue along the road – Gårdsrosteriet is located on the right-hand side up the hill. Parking is available nearby.
Bus line 121 between Jönköping and Gränna will take you here. The stop is called Gisebo, and from there it’s about a 6-kilometer walk.
