In the middle of Äppledalen, boasting wonderful views of orchards and of Lake Vättern, you will find Rudenstams gårdsbutik, a farm shop and café. Here you will find a wide range of locally grown produce and regional delicacies. In the café, which is mentioned in the White Guide as worth visiting, you can enjoy coffee and pastries, sandwiches and salads or something from the lunch menu.
In Äppledalen, also known as Småland's Tuscany, fruit has been grown for almost 100 years. It’s a rolling landscape that appeals to all the senses.
The farm shop at Rudenstam offers both a wide range of locally grown seasonal fruit and fine food products.
In close co-operation with around 70 local suppliers, a wide range of local goods and delicacies on offer in the shop. You will find everything from locally-produced meat, to Björksoda from Ängabacken, mustard from Senapsfabrikörn on Visingsö, sweet lupin products from Flättinge Gård and much more.
Rudenstams also have their own fruit press on the farm and make their own fruit juice and fruit cider. Juice made from different apple varieties is available in various flavours.
Among the range you will find Rudu Cider, which has been the winner of the Swedish cider championship three years in a row in the semi-dry cider category, and received gold and silver in the ‘acid dominant’ category in the Nordic International Cider Awards 2023.
In the café you will find a wide range of coffee and pastries, sandwiches and salads as well as a range of dishes on the lunch menu. Of course, farm-made apple juice and apple pies are served here all year round. The rest of the menu is seasonal and offers the best flavours from different times of the year.
You will find a large indoor seating areas, some on the ground floor, some upstairs and in the orangery.
Outdoors, you'll find plenty of seating both next to the farm shop and among the apple orchards.
At Rudenstams there are several events throughout the year, such as the food festival ‘Mat Runt Gränna’, the ‘Vår i Äppledalen’spring celebration, harvest festival, farm tours, the ‘Äppelloppet’ 5km race and Äppledalen’s Christmas fair.

Rudenstams is part of Food Around Gränna, an initiative created by local producers and entrepreneurs who want to support a vibrant countryside and locally produced ingredients. The shops, farm cafés, and restaurants are open year-round and are happy to show you how they make their delicacies.

Rudenstam is located a stone's throw from the E4 motorway, just a short detour from Grännavägen.
Public transport
Take bus line 121 between Jönköping and Gränna to the Kaxholmen Ruduvägen stop, then it is about 500 metres walk from there.
Cycling
The area offers great opportunities for road cycling towards both Jönköping/Huskvarna and Gränna. From Jönköping’s travel centre you can follow the cycle path along Lake Vättern all the way to Äppledalen and Rudenstam's farm shop and café.
