A cosy farm shop & café

Since 1945, Flättinge gård has been owned by the Levinsson family. The farm has evolved from a dairy farm to a modern and sustainable food producer, focusing on the protein-rich legume sweet lupine. Today, it is a popular and cosy farm shop where you can buy the farm's own products mixed with carefully selected products from local businesses

Flättinge gård has been a family-owned farm since 1945, when great-grandfather Levin acquired the farm. Today, the farm and the associated farm shop are run by the fourth generation on the farm – the three Levinsson sisters, together with their parents.

Over the years, the business has undergone a significant transformation, from a traditional dairy farm to modern meat production, and today innovation is the focus with the investment in sweet lupin as a key product.

Farm shop

Since September 2024, Flättinge has shifted focus on the part of the business open to the public. Now, the farm shop is the centrepiece, open several days a week, although you can still enjoy coffee, cakes, and simple lunches in the farm café.

You can buy several of the farm's own products, such as juice, syrup, chutney, and sweet lupin products in the farm shop.

They have several hens on the farm, allowing them to sell eggs in bulk or as 12-packs, and you can also find sheepskins from the sheep that graze around the farm.

In addition to the farm's own products, you will also find a carefully selected range from other companies, both smaller and larger Swedish producers. Some of the companies are close neighbours to the farm, while others come from different parts of the country, providing a wonderful variety and more choices.

A smaller café operation

Part of the café operation remains, but now on a smaller scale. You can buy coffee or tea and choose from a small, tasty selection of cakes. They also have at least one lunch option daily, often with sweet lupin as the main ingredient. The farm shop is open from Thursday to Saturday.

Sweet lupin

The farm's main focus is sweet lupin, a legume with about 35 percent protein. Sweet lupin has long been used as food in the Mediterranean region and is praised by many for its good taste, high protein content, and sustainability.

In 2020, Flättinge started a test cultivation of sweet lupin, and by August of the same year, they were able to harvest the first beans. Now, they offer several different sweet lupin products such as burgers, patties, and ground and cooked sweet lupin beans.

The products are available for purchase in the farm shop, but also at other selected retailers around Huskvarna and the surrounding area. You can find recipes and cooking tips on Flättinge's website
