Virtuella utställningar: Vävda rum

Woven rooms is a unique exhibition where ten artists working with augmented reality (AR) have produced artworks adapted for public spaces. It can be a town square, a fountain, a grassy area or a deserted lot.

In the past, the public space with its squares and parks were important meeting places. Today, instead, many of our meetings and debates take place in virtual forums. In some places, squares and other public places can therefore be experienced as deserted and unsafe. With "Woven rooms" we want to use art to repopulate the public space and connect the virtual and physical place and create new meeting places.

By downloading the Woven room app, (search for Vävda rum) you can experience and interact with ten brand new virtual works of art located in public places in Jönköping and Huskvarna. For example, you can jog with a virtual friend, be chased by a reindeer along the streets, create a joint word cloud or build a sculpture together with others.

The artists participating in Vävda rum are: Space Popular, Lundahl & Seitl, Oscar Häggström, Åsa Cederqvist, Untold Garden, Pastelae, Eric Magassa, James Webb, Adam James and SONG.
