Sweden's probably most popular nostalgic show; The Legends, is getting ready for this year's new show; Meet The Legends - some of the world's - without doubt - prime interpreters of Elvis Presley - Roy Orbison & Jerry Lee Lewis in this year's edition; "Movie & TV Special"!
This year's show focuses on the most spectacular TV shows in which the legends have participated, and not least - on the films where their music has been performed. We hear the favorite songs from Elvis's film career, music from "68-Comeback Special" and of course the highlights from Elvis's satellite broadcast concert "Aloha from Hawaii" 1973 and others. Further; several of the popular songs Roy Orbison made in his first major TV appearances for "Black & White Night" in 1987 - but also the songs from the films. Jerry Lee Lewis broke through in the "Steve Allen Show" - explosive performances followed in "Shindig" in the 60's and in "Midnight Special". Later in "Pop Goes Country" in the 70s and more.
We see Paul Larcombe from England make his fantastic interpretation of "The King" - Elvis Presley. Paul has received many awards during his career; inter alia he is named Europe's best Elvis interpreter by Elvis Presley Enterprises in Memphis, USA. In another competition, he was ranked 3rd in the world!
Roy Orbison is portrayed by Johnny Duvert who broke through in the Aiming for the Stars as his role model. In his ghostly version of the icon, one starts to wonder if Roy Orbison has in fact resurrected! Johnny Duvert's meticulous design of the original has got Roy Orbison's son to hear him out with praise!
Jerry Carlson aka Jerry Lee Lewis does Jerry Lee Lewis in a way like no other - and that includes his entire career from rock 'n' roll to country. Like Mr Duvert, he got his breakthrough in "Aiming at the Stars". He most recently did a fantastic show in French Television for 4 million TV viewers. In the spring he has toured with Jerry Lee Lewis sister Linda Gail Lewis.
Join us on an evening when nostalgia is at its best - with three legends that never go out of time - in the exciting new edition - "Movie & TV Special"!
