For the first time in Sweden! - Mother Africa
During the evening we will experience colourful costumes, fun dances and breathtaking acrobatic numbers.
Mother Africa is a colourful show full of dance and music. It's more than just a show, a journey through Africa's continent. A new way to see Africa's beauty.
With the help of dance and music, we take part in a story from the suburb of Khayelitsha.
Khayelitsha is located about 25 kilometers outside Cape Town and is the largest suburb of South Africa with about two million inhabitants. In the midst of Khayelitsha's high crime one finds joy and hope. The streets are full of talents and positive energy. It is these pleasures that the show wants to describe. Life in Africa often balances between old African traditions and modern life. It is therefore not surprising that traditional zuludans meet modern breakdance in the show.
In addition to the success in Europe, Mother Africa has been successful in Asia, Australia and the United States. Newspapers around the world describe the show:
“A continental feast for the eyes and the ears” (New York Times)
“Spectacular acrobatics, thrilling dance scenes and a great band” (Kieler Nachrichten)
“The show is almost like a wonder. You get to know the whole world of Africa with its magical colors and costumes, live music, authentic instruments, spectacular acrobatics and dance acts.” (Münchner Merkur)
"Joyful and dazzling - Mother Africa is out of this world." (THE STAGE, London)
