A stand-up show about being together, suck it up and to break down.
Messiah Hallberg takes his new stand up show Scener ur ett ”äktenskap” on a tour around Sweden
One of Sweden’s strongest humour voices are going out on his second solo performance. After touring with the successful “Den missförstådde profeten” and also been awarded “Male comedian 2018”, he is now following up with a self-disclosure and naked stand up show about twosome. Scener ur ett “äktenskap” – A stand up show of being together, suck it up and break down is coming to Jönköping September 12.
Messiah Hallberg has during the last years established himself as a part of the Swedish humour elite. He has been seen in the TV-show “Parlamentet” as well as in “Finaste familjen”, and he recently became a new program leader for Vakna med NRJ. His first solo performance, Den missförstådde profeten, was commended by the critics all over the country. In that show he made up with his past and what for a long time embossed his material on the stand up stage. The theme for the new show is love, hate and relations where Messiah proceeds from his own relationship.
Only a fool tries to have a love relation today. Yet, people do, every day, all the time. This will be the most personal I ever made on stage, my own version of Knausgårds Min kamp, but hopefully a lot funnier, Messiah says.
Messiah Hallbergs career as a comedian started in 2009. After only two years in the business he received the award Tändstickan on the Swedish Stand up gala for renewing Swedish stand up. 2015 he was on tour with the stand up show “Politiskt autokorrekt” together with the Norwegian comedian Martin Beyer-Olsen.
2016 Messiah started together with Jakob Öqvist the podcast Freakshow and the next year he toured with his first celebrated solo show Den missförstådde profeten, and also received the award “Male comedian of the year” at the Swedish Stand up gala. Now he is current as a new program host in “Vakna med NRJ” and during 2019 he will be on tour with his second solo show Scener ur ett “äktenskap”.
