Hyllningskonsert till Robert Broberg - The Moniker
Det var en båt som sa... - Tribute concert to Robert Broberg with The Moniker.
After lively concerts with standing ovations on eg. Södra Teatern in Stockholm and Stora Teaternb in Gothenburg, the Broberg fan The Moniker now continues to spread its immortal classics across the country. The tour premiere will take place at Jönköping Theatre on March 4, 2020.
Together with his two multi-musicians Erik Anjou and Hasse Sjölander, The Moniker, or Daniel Karlsson as he is really called, continues to pay tribute to his great source of inspiration and idol. And with the background story that Daniel has, we can promise a warm and dignified performance where immortal classics replace each other. Båtlåt, Ingela, Vatten, Maria-Therese, Spring inte så fort pappa, Likbil etc, etc, etc, etc...
In a dressing room somewhere in Sweden in 1993: "Do you have white sneakers with you?"
The words were Robert Broberg's and they were directed to an 11 year young boy who a few hours later would be able to join in what many people only dream about. He would perform with his big idol. The song was "Pappa se min hand" and the tour was Mållarrock. Throughout four concerts, he got to experience the dream, and yes, the sneakers were obviously included.
The boy, who called himself Lill-Robban when he performed at various events around the Jönköping area, got older, discovered Guns N 'Roses, Oasis, Blur and Beatles, started different rock bands, became Idol-Daniel with the whole Swedish people, got himself artist name The Moniker, made a success in the Melodifestivalen, Diggiloo, Allsång på Skansen, Så det ska låta etc, became proud ambassador for the charity Star For Life where he performed over 60 concerts with some other old heroes in Triple & Touch, all the time with Robert Karl-Oskar Zero Broberg as that great house god that you can go back to for security when needed.
And now is the time for Daniel to once again perform with Robert Broberg's songs. Together with his guitar and two fellow musicians, Daniel now goes out to pay tribute to his great source of inspiration and idol. And with the background story that Daniel has, we can promise a warm and dignified performance where immortal classics replace each other.
