A small cabin village in the heart of Visingsö
Save
Visingsöstugor is a small, charming cabin village. There are 9 cabins, each 14 square meters, equipped for four people. Just 2 kilometers from Visingsö harbour, you’ll find the village nestled at the forest’s edge, close to everything on the island.
The cabins are ideal for families with children, groups of friends, or extended family trips. The area includes a playground and a lovely barbecue spot. If you enjoy walking or a morning jog, the lighted trail is right next door.
The cabins are charmingly furnished with two bunk beds, a living area with a mini kitchen, and a private terrace with outdoor furniture.
A shared service building is available for all guests, offering showers, toilets (accessible), a kitchen, laundry facilities, and a common room.
Stay comfortably near the forest edge, restaurants, shops, and swimming spots. You can also pre-book a bike—perfect for exploring the bike-friendly island!
From the harbour, you can catch the famous horse-drawn carriage rides (Remmalag) or the Visingsö train.
Visingsö is rich in history, with many historical sites still standing, such as the Visingsborg Castle ruins in the harbour and the castle in Näs in the southern part of the island.
For families, there’s also a popular treasure hunt on the island.
Take the ferry from Gränna to Visingsö, a gem in Lake Vättern with stunning nature and a rich history tied to the powerful Brahe family. Don’t miss Brahe Church, home to a wealth of artistic treasures. The island is easy to explore by bike or by horse-drawn carriage – remmalag. Here, you're close to nature and can meet alpacas, go horseback riding, or paddle a kayak.
