On the western side of Visingsö, you’ll find this rural and animal-friendly accommodation. Rent a room in a self-catering early-1900s villa and enjoy views of Lake Vättern and romantic evening sunshine.
Hostel Gyllene Knorren is a self-catering stay where the owners have preserved the home’s original charm, giving it the cosy feel of a classic summer cottage.
This is a lovely option for families looking to spend a few days on Visingsö. There is a large garden and a cosy little hideaway for children under the stairs.
Children especially enjoy the animals grazing near the patio. In the paddocks you’ll find horses, ponies and mini pigs.
In total, there are 11 beds divided into three double rooms and one four-bed room. In addition, there are four extra beds placed in charming nooks connected to each bedroom.
The shared areas of the house include a kitchen, bathroom and two living rooms.
Guests at Gyllene Knorren also have access to a large outdoor patio with tables, chairs and a barbecue. Both the living rooms and the patio overlook Lake Vättern and offer lovely evening sun.
To make your stay easier, the accommodation provides highchairs, toys, a TV and WiFi.
For those who wish, a breakfast basket can be ordered, prepared by Svensgården.
Gyllene Knorren is located close to Visingsö’s grocery store. Parking is available outside the accommodation, but cycling from the harbour is a great option.
