Grännabergets friluftsmuseum

Just above Gränna, on the edge of the mountain with a wonderful view of the city, is Grännabergets friluftsmuseum (Gränna mountain outdoor museum) from 1912.

From the beginning, the place functioned as a city park for for those who lived in Gränna, but in 1916 they moved old and threatened buildings to this place. The idea was that it would be like Skansen in Stockholm.

Here you will find, among other things, a captain's residence from the 17th century, a soldier's village, a paper master's residence from Röttle and market sheds. Here you can drink coffee, eat sandwiches and enjoy the view. Grännaberget outdoor museum has free entrance. Their opening hour follow Kaffestugan.
