At Munksjötornet, one of Jönköping’s most recognisable landmarks, Kålle & Jonas Kök offers traditional Swedish home-style cooking accompanied by beautiful views across Lake Munksjön and the city centre.
The restaurant opened in January 2026 and is run by Karl-Peter “Kålle” Falk and Jonas Lindoff, two well-known restaurateurs in Jönköping. Their menu focuses on classic Swedish dishes served in a unique setting high above the city.
The menu changes weekly and features a selection of traditional home-style dishes. Examples include beef bourguignon, poached flounder fillet, goat’s cheese and beetroot pie, veal patties, oven-baked pollock and vegetarian moussaka.
A permanent favourite on the menu is the restaurant’s popular beef patties served with mashed potatoes, cream sauce, lingonberries and pressed cucumber.
All meals include salad, bread, coffee and dessert.
Initially, Kålle & Jonas Kök focuses on lunchtime service. Plans are in place to introduce after-work gatherings and themed evenings in the future.
For the latest updates, keep an eye on the restaurant’s Instagram account.
