Potter in Smedbyn
Save
Nestled among the small red houses of Smedbyn, you’ll find Anna’s Pottery. Here, you can take a pottery wheel course or simply drop in to browse the beautiful handmade pieces in the small shop.
Groups can book a session together to learn how to center clay, throw pots and enjoy a fun, creative experience. Anna, who owns the pottery studio, also organises corporate events for companies.
Close by, there is a lovely playground with several barbecue areas, perfect for a relaxing break. Just across the street is the Husqvarna Museum, where you can explore the history of Husqvarna AB – from its very first rifle to today’s modern garden products.
This is also where the Pusta Trail begins, a 5-kilometre walking route that takes you up into the hills of Huskvarna. If you prefer a more urban walk, you can follow the Huskvarna River promenade from Smedbyn to Rumlaborg.
Gazing out over Lake Vättern, the giant Vist stands tall in Huskvarna. Here, striking contrasts meet — between stunning natural surroundings and the historic Husqvarna Factory, established in 1689 to produce weapons for the Swedish military. At the Husqvarna Museum, you can explore everything from sewing machines and motorcycles to modern-day chainsaws and lawnmowers. Nearby, Smedbyn offers a charming mix of history, art galleries, and craft studios. Since 1925, Huskvarna Folkets Park has been a beloved venue for music, theatre, festivals, and fairs.
